Your backpack is useful on and off the bicycle. Backbone 8.3 supports it from underneath, behind the saddle, while you continue wearing it.
The bicycle carries the load, taking pressure off your shoulders without adding panniers or bulky side luggage. When properly fitted for your backpack and riding position, the Backbone can support up to 100% of your backpack’s weight.

The Standard V package pairs the same Backbone support with a wider V Platform instead of the rectangular 15-hole platform. A useful step up for messenger bags and larger backpacks.

Catches the light.
A subtle detail by day. A bright accent when light hits it after dark. The Backbone lettering is reflective.

Fits most standard bikes.
Designed for a cylindrical seatpost, 22–32 mm in diameter, with 2 inches of exposed space between the saddle clamp and the frame’s seatpost collar. These two measurements make setup straightforward. Get help with your setup.

Quick installation
Set up. Check. Ride.
- Choose the insert.Select the rubber insert that best fits your seatpost and press it into the clamp.
- Position the clamp.Place it around the seatpost with the Backbone tube angled upward.
- Close and secure.Close the clamp plate, tighten the quick-release handle, and lock it in place.
- Check for movement.Test the horizontal tube and adjust the clamp before loading your backpack.

Yes. Backbone supports the bottom of the backpack behind the saddle while you continue wearing it. The load stays centered behind you.
