Your backpack.
Better supported.

Standard V combines the adjustable Backbone 8.3 support with a broad, padded V Platform. Keep your backpack on, give it support from below, and step off the bike ready to go.

See the weight transfer

Let the bike carry the weight.

Watch the scale reading change as the Backbone supports the bag. Your backpack stays with you while its weight gains a path onto the bicycle. The amount of support depends on your bike, bag, riding position, and adjustment.

A real backpack. A real scale.

Why choose Standard V?

The details that make the difference.

Meet the contact point. The padded V Platform supports your backpack from below. Bag shape and riding position still matter. The quick-release clamp. Take it with you. No tools. BikeBackbone comes off the bike without tools.

Adjust the padded V Platform vertically, then set the fore–aft position so its wider surface meets the bottom of your bag.

Room for your bag. Less bulk to pack.

A wider platform.
An easy getaway.

The padded V top quick-releases from its shaft. Separate the two pieces to make the platform easier to stow between rides.

Release the top, lift it off the shaft, and stow the pieces together. Reattach securely before riding.

About the reflective decal

The reflective Backbone decal

Catches the light.

A subtle detail by day. A bright accent when light hits it after dark. The Backbone lettering is reflective.

Reflective, not self-illuminating. Keep using appropriate bicycle lights and reflectors.

The story behind Backbone

Road-born · rider-designed

A real problem.
Thousands of miles to solve it.

BikeBackbone began during founder Adam Keen’s long-distance bicycle journey from the Chicago area toward Panama. A heavy hiking backpack created the problem; prototypes built along the route became the product.
