Installation is quick, easy, and tool-free—even on the go.
Remove the Backbone:
- Open the quick-release handle.
- Turn the handle counterclockwise a few times to loosen it.
- Use your thumb to push the handle away from the clamp plate.
Install the Backbone:
- Choose the correct rubber insert and press it into the clamp.
- Place the clamp around the seat post with the tube angled upward.
- Close the clamp plate. Position the handle so the spacer rests on top of the plate.
- Turn the handle clockwise a few times to tighten it.
- Close the handle and test the horizontal tube. It should support weight with little movement. Tighten the handle as needed.
- If the fit is too loose or too tight, try the other rubber insert or use both.
